Alabama fan rageLast week, an Auburn fan was shot by an Alabama fan after an argument over which football team is better this season (the two teams play each other Saturday in the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala.).

Let’s go over that again: An Alabama fan shot the fan of another team because he felt compelled to defend his football team’s honor.

An aberration for an Alabama fan? Perhaps. And perhaps not.

The Citadel at Clemson, Louisiana-Monroe at Auburn, Michigan at Wisconsin … it’s pathetic, really.

15 Days of Darkness means a lot of night games

Night looms the last two weeks.According to a reliable fake news site, reflectionofmind.org, NASA has confirmed there will be 15 days of darkness from Nov. 15 to Nov. 30.

That means … every game is a night game. Yay!

The incredibly bogus report said  NASA confirmed that the phenomenon will start on Nov. 15 at 3 a.m. and will most likely last until Nov. 30, 4:45 p.m. Which time zone? Who knows? But it definitely won’t be Daylight Saving Time.

ICYMI: First look at Al Pacino as Joe Paterno

Al Pacino Joe PaternoHBO released a photo of Al Pacino as Joe Paterno in the upcoming movie, “Happy Valley,” about the child sex abuse scandal surrounding Paterno’s former assistant, Jerry Sandusky.

Sandusky was arrested on multiple counts of sexual abuse while conducting camps on the Penn State campus. Authorities say Paterno was aware of the crimes, perhaps even as far back as the 1990s.

Paterno died from complications from lung cancer in 2012.

Netflix goes back to Scooba, again.

The second season the Netflix documentary, “Last Chance U.,” begins on July 21. It’s a new season at East Mississippi Community College with a new cast of characters looking for a fresh start, including controversial ex-Florida State quarterback.

Judging from the trailer, this season we might a kinder, gentler Buddy Stephens, the head coach and a more exasperated Brittany Wagner, the academic counselor and surprise star of Season 1.
