Week 11 college football picks … them’s fightin’ words

fan fight college football picks Week 11Early warning to be prepared for some knockdown, dragged-out fights this weekend.

Notre Dame-Miami, Georgia-Auburn, Clemson-Florida State … yeah, those are big games. But I’m talking about the altercations involving fans. If this Saturday is anything like last Saturday, well, now we’re really talking “Bedlam.”

Like these guys, at the tailgate party …

And this woman, trying to fight with a cop …

And, finally, the answer to the question: “Excuse me, officer, mind if I smoke?”

So be careful out there this weekend, and keep your phone camera on video.

On with the picks …

Get to pickin’

Here are my picks for Week 11, again, without even thinking:

Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech: 35-20, Virginia Tech. Hokies’ defense will hold off the Yellow Jackets.

Notre Dame at Miami: 28-24, Miami. Hard to beat the Hurricanes at home.

Florida State at Clemson: 34-10, Clemson. This sure won’t be the game everyone thought it would be at the beginning of the season.

Oklahoma State at Iowa State: 49-42, Oklahoma State. Bitter group of Cowboys will be in the mood for scoring.

Iowa at Wisconsin: 45-32, Iowa. Hawkeyes keep rolling, even on the road.

Michigan State at Ohio State: 35-30, Ohio State. Home sweet home for the Buckeyes.

Washington at Stanford: 28-27, Washington. Stanford at home will keep it close.

Washington State at Utah: 45-30, Washington State. Cougars need a win to stay within striking distance of Washington in Pac-12 North.

Georgia at Auburn: 42-38, Georgia. Auburn is the best team the Bulldogs have faced all year, but they’re on a mission.

Alabama at Mississippi State: 35-14, Alabama. Expect the Tide to force MSU QB Nick Fitzgerald to throw the ball.
