Report: Alabama rolls up another profitable year

According to a February report in The Tuscaloosa News, the Alabama football program had a profit of more than $47 million in 2016.

The program had almost $104 million in revenue, the lion’s share coming from media rights ($21 million) and ticket sales ($37 million).

Among the biggest expenditures, according to financial documents obtained by The Tuscaloosa News, were coaches salaries, which made up for $14 million of the more than $56 million in expenses.
